Community Action Bradford and District (CABAD) is a new Charitable infrastructure provider formed from the merger of 3 local Community and Voluntary Service Organisations to provide effective and focussed impact upon communities in the district .


The CEO will establish and lead the organisation and staff through a period of change and development, promoting the renewed service whilst securing appropriate independent income generating opportunities. They will play a significant role in the leadership of the voluntary and community sector supporting it through current and future change.

Bradford VCS Alliance – Programme Lead


£37,858 (SCP 43), full time, 12 month contract


Secondments considered.


In Bradford, we have embarked on a programme to create a significant new legal entity for health care.  This body will be part of the local Accountable Care System and will ultimately be a major conduit of health funds to the local VCS.  We are looking for a person to drive the critical changes which will make this a reality.  Key responsibilities include support to the shadow board, establishment of a new legal entity with appropriate operational and financial systems, marketing and VCS involvement and strategic engagement.


The successful candidate will:


  • Be an effective leader and motivator of people with strong oral and written communication skills, able to work with the local media and promote the programme.
  • Be a creative and strategic thinker with high- level management skills, able to see projects through to completion.
  • Have an extensive  record of achievements, at least 3 years, in the area of organisational change and leadership, programme management and project delivery with demonstrable experience of managing complex projects preferably in health and wellbeing
  • Possess a knowledge of the national and local health and wellbeing agenda with a firm commitment to improving health and wellbeing outcomes for district and to addressing health inequalities
  • Have the ability to represent the VCS at the highest level in meetings with the public, private and public sector bodies and others.
