The Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies Programme (CYP IAPT) enables all current staff who work with emotional health and wellbeing to work towards a qualification to practice as a therapist at the same time as gaining intensive hands-on experience.
It has been designed to widen access to mental health and emotional support by extending opportunities for existing staff to receive training to become qualified and more confident in providing care and treatment for young people.
The CYP IAPT therapies programme is an intensive one year full-time training programme in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents (ITP-A), Systemic Practice or Parenting. As this is a one year secondment programme, applicants need the support of employers.
Fees: The course is funded by Health Education England. Moneys to backfill the trainees for the year (£30k per trainee) will be paid via the CCG.
Closing date: Please note closing date for applications is 4th of August 2015.
