Funding Advice
Funding support for voluntary and community groups in the Bradford District comes from several sources:
The bfunded website
The bfunded website at www.bfunded.org.uk has a searchable funding database that covers local funds, as well as government funding streams, National Lottery programmes and grantmaking trusts.
Other resources on the website include:
- Information sheets that will help you with fundraising and making applications
- Downloadable Funding Guide
- Monthly funding newsletter
- A Marketing and Communication section to support the work of the Marketing and Communication Network
Funding Support Officers
Funding advice and in-depth support for groups is available from the bfunded Funding Support Officers based at Bradford CVS and Keighley Voluntary Services. The Funding Support Officers can offer groups in Bradford District assistance with sourcing funding and developing funding strategies and offer one-to-one help and advice on all aspects of funding, including how to make an application. They will enable you to complete the application yourself.
Chris Light is based at Bradford CVS. Telephone 01274 722772 or email Chris.

Funding Advisor's Network (FAN)
The aim of the Funding Advisor's Network is to develop the infrastructure of funding advice across the Bradford District through:
- Network of development / outreach workers in the District who provide funding advice as part of their role
- Email exchange of information, knowledge and experience
- Resource of funding expertise
- Funding advisors accredited training available to members
- Meetings held every two months with guest speakers and good practice sessions
If you provide funding information to groups as part of your job, why not join the Funding Advisor's Network. For further details contact Lynn Leadbeatter at Keighley Voluntary Services. Telephone 01535 665258 or email Sarah.
Marketing and Communication Support
One-to-one support on how to market and promote your voluntary and community group is available from bfunded. Groups need to be based in the 10% most deprived areas of the district. Email Sarah to find out if you are eligible.
In response to consultation which raised Marketing and Communication support as a must have service, bfunded created the Marketing and Communication Network. The network is open across the whole of Bradford District, with the aim of supporting workers responsible for marketing and communication in the Voluntary and Community Sectors.
If you are interested in joining the Network please get in touch with Sarah Moss, who is based at Keighley Voluntary Services. Telephone 01535 665258 or email Sarah.
