Meeting Rooms

The Voluntary Services Centre has two meeting rooms for hire: the Mabel Booth Room and the Basement Meeting Room.   

The Mabel Booth Room holds a maximum of 70 people, the Basement Meeting Room a maximum of 12 people.

*** NEWS *** The Mabel Booth Room has a new feature: an interactive whiteboard, or 'SMART Board'. This can be used for free by any group hiring the room. This is thanks to a grant from Neighbourhood Learning in Deprived Communities (NLDC). 
NB any group using the board for the first time must send a representative for a half hour of training prior to the meeting.

The rooms are available for use:
 
Monday - Thursday   9am - 4.45pm and 6.45pm - 9.45pm  
Friday   9am - 4.45pm
Saturdays and Sundays Saturdays and Sundays are also available

Bookings

The rooms are available to unfunded voluntary organisations in the Bradford Metropolitan area free of charge for one session per month, with extra bookings available at the following charges per session:

Facilities

The building is fully accessible.  Level access is provided via the Aldermanbury entrance (to the basement) with a lift to all floors.  Wheelchair accessible /disabled toilets (using RADAR keys) are available on the meeting room floors and there is an induction loop facility in the larger meeting room.  Both rooms have well equipped kitchens for self service catering/refreshments. 

Equipment

We have equipment for hire during meetings and to take out of the building including:

- Data Projector £20.00
- Collecting boxes  30p per box
-   Display screens - 6 large, 8 small £10.00 for any quantity
- Flipchart stand  £5.00
- Overhead projector  £10.00
- Projector screen £10.00
- Slide projector  £5.00
- TV & Video  £10.00

There is a deposit fee of £10 for each item loaned (for any number of collecting boxes).  
NB The deposit for the Data Projector is £20.

A charge of £3 per collecting box is made for any boxes not returned. 

Items must be booked in advance. Please contact us to book any of the equipment or to check availability.
