In March, the last AGM discussed the possibility of a merger with Keighley and Ilkley Voluntary and Community Action and Shipley and Bingley Voluntary Services. It was agreed the trustees should investigate this proposal and report back a recommendation. The trustees are now returning with a proposal to pursue this merger.
This is the biggest potential change for BCVS since it rose from the ashes of Bradford Metropolitan CVS in 1991. We hope therefore that lots of you will come along to discuss this momentous change and help shape the direction for the future.
There is also still the routine work to do and we will be running an election for a Board either to continue BCVS or manage transition to our new body and approving our accounts.
To sweeten the pill, we will be offering a light lunch from 1.00pm, with the AGM kicking off at 1.30pm
