CVS Training
CVS Training aims to develop, influence, promote and deliver training to strengthen the infrastructure of voluntary and community groups in the Bradford Metropolitan District. We provide training, from one off sessions to longer accredited courses, for management committee members, paid staff and volunteers. These include management committee skills, organisational management, equal opportunities training and other issues of importance to VCS groups. We can undertake training needs surveys to find out what training groups want and provide information to groups about training and accreditation.

In-House Training for Management Committees
CVS Training works to provide training
for voluntary and community groups in Bradford on management,
governance and organisational development issues. We know that not
all management committee members and trustees can access our regular
training programme, or may want something more tailored to their own
needs.
They may want training on:
- Management Committee / Trustee Roles and Responsibilities
- The Role of the Chair, Treasurer and Secretary
- Legal structures of voluntary and community groups
- Understanding Registered Charity Status
- Meeting Skills
- Organisational Development Planning
- Managing and Supervising Staff
- How to Get and Keep Committee Members
We can provide organisations with up
to eight hours of in-house training. In-house training is a session
just for your group. Your organisation provides a venue,
refreshments and encourages people to participate. We organise the
training in consultation with you and provide a trainer.
